	16.11.2009 Two theoretical, comprehensive and detailed trainings on power quality, harmonics, the related problems and the solutions of these problems, have been organized in 2007 and 2009 by the project group and the academicians from Yıldız Technical University. By this way, the participants have been informed about the National Power Quality Project. Moreover, the detailed information with an applied training on National Power Quality Monitoring Center and National Power Quality Client Software are given to the participants. 	17.06.2009 Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Mr. Taner YILDIZ has been informed about “National Power Quality Project” at TÜBİTAK Space Technologies Research Institute. 	Prof. Dr. Muammer ERMİŞ, the manager of National Power Quality Project, presented an invited paper about “National Power Quality Project” in Energy Efficiency and Quality 2009 Symposium, which was performed on 21th and 22th of May. Click for photos >

	11.05.2009 The ±10MVAr STATCOM laboratory prototype has been completed and the tests are ongoing. In this context, the design and production of H-Bridge modules, which are the main structure of the STATCOM system, have been made. 15 H-Bridges required for STATCOM prototype with ± 10MVAR rated power were placed into CTP frame structure and the links between H-Bridges and frame structure were provided with flexible bars. Thus, the power stage of a ±10MVAR STATCOM unit has been made ready for tests.

	11.05.2009 The mobile platforms for transient events and harmonics measurement systems were produced.

	11.05.2009 The Turkish Electricity System is monitored with 153 “National Power Quality Monitor”.

	01.04.2009 A voltage source hybrid active power filter which has 100 A rated current and is connected to 400 V voltage level has been designed, produced, tested, and put into service in TÜBİTAK UZAY Power Electronics Laboratory.

	01.03.2009 Testing and measurements of 1 MVA current-source active filter prototype have been completed at BursaRAY plant and it is seen that it meets the project requirements. As envisaged in the project proposal, it is warranted that 11th and 13th current harmonics result from the 12 pulse diode rectifier are below the limit values given in regulations.

	07.11.2008 Up to now, measurements have been completed in 195 transformer substations within the sub-project of Mobile Power Quality Measurements and reporting activities are going on.

For the purpose of identifying principles, approaches, hardware, and software requirements which will enable Power Quality parameters defined in IEC 61000-4-30- Std. "Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC); Testing and measurement techniques-Power quality measurement methods"to be monitored continuously in the Turkish Electricity Transmission System and carrying out developmental activities accordingly; TEİAŞ, TÜBİTAK-BİLTEN and 4 universities have combined their powers.

	07.11.2008 The first installation of the "National Power Quality Monitor" with racks was started at 15.09.2008 in "380 KV Sincan Transformer Substation.

	01.03.2008 The project's 4. Term has been ended successfully with the preparation of the fourth semiannual Development Report.

	08.12.2006 Mobile Field Measurements taken so far

	10.08.2006 Project employees have been given skidcar advanced and defensive driving techniques training by an automobile company for mobile field measurements.

	01.08.2006 Presentation booklet of the project has been prepared.
